where’s the line to see Jesus?

A friend shared a poignant Christmas song on YouTube and, wow, it nailed me. Where IS the line to see Jesus as shoppers shop and bakers bake Christmas cookies and children chant Santa Santa Santa and ho ho ho?

Where Is the line to see Jesus?

I’ll tell you: It’s as near as a prayer. Little prayer, big prayer. Simple prayer. Stand if you like or sit, kneel, dance. Make snow angels if you like, as you get on the line to talk with Jesus. 

May I pray for you? for us?

Jesus,

The glitter of the season distracts me from you. I’m so busy with the kids’ schedules, decorating the house, putting up Christmas lights, and shopping for gift that I forget the reason for the season. Please strengthen me. I am a warrior, Lord, your warrior, though I feel weak and scared. I’m not alone on the battlefield of distraction. You’re my Defender, showing me how to fight and keep my on you. Thank you, Jesus. I praise all who you are! Amen.
