Friday’s Top 5 on FEAR
Good health and happy family are your must-haves.
This is the big idea gleaned from the latest weekly question at my Facebook page: Lucy Ann Moll, The Counselor to Christian Women in a Crazy World.
The question: What BIG thing freaks you out? (Go ahead and think about it now, What freaks you out?)
Now let’s see how your answer stacks up with the dozens who answered the question on my page. Incidentally, I’m listing the top 4 only since they received the most votes by far, followed by a bunch of answers that received one vote.)
The top 5, I mean, 4:
4. Rejection.
3. My child not knowing Christ.
2. My child dying young.
1. Losing my health.
One-vote getters included divorce, failing to trust God in all things, having enough money to pay the bills, and going to hell.
This month on my blog I’m diving into fear to help you know how to handle this insidious, creepy feeling that has claws me too. You’ll find the “FEAR LESS” posts on Wednesdays. You can make sure you’ll get them when you subscribe to this blog. The signup box is up there to the right. See it? Cool.
Question: What is something you want to know about fear? Take a sec and leave a comment below. Your comment encourages others, including yours truly.
With Joy Overflowing!
My top 5 are
1. fear of God, death, heights. water and losing my health
2. what others think of me which includes rejection
3. not wanting others to control me
4. change even when faith pushes me too
5. ability to let go so God does the work and not me which equals acceptance too point that i can’t control others especially with my children
Thanks for sharing your list, Joni. I fear change too. . .and other things. I need to continually remind myself that God is in control and that He is good. Life gets hard, you know. Blessings to you, Lucy
With all My due Respect to the post’s & everyones opinions, I think we shall always remember that fear is not from God, instead fear is a tool of devil tht he uses against the childrens of God, fear is nothing but a lie from satan; So what we need to concentrate on is the word of God & it’s wrtten tht; Fear Not cause I AM With You!! So all I wanna know is more about what the Word of God says about the fear & How we can Cast Out the spirit of fear from amongst the childrens of God, “With the help of God’s Word!!” Thank You 🙂
Hi bhupinder,
Typically when a Christian says she fears God or has a fear of God, she means she has a deep, reverential awe of God and not fear in the sense of being afraid of dogs or small spaces or that sort of thing.
Blessings,
Lucy
