When life’s crazy, please remember that you are an overcomer.
For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 5:4-5
What is this, this overcoming? What does it mean for you?
An overcomer possesses much.
The right to eat from the tree of life.
Revelation 2:7
The crown of life.
Revelation 2:10
A white stone with a new name written on it.
Revelation 2:17
The morning star.
Revelation 2:28
And she has this and this and this.
Their name written in the book of life.
Revelation 3:5
They will become a pillar in the temple of God.
Revelation 3:12
The right to sit with Jesus on His throne.
Revelation 3:21
Amazing, huh?
As a child of God, your future is bright. Even your NOW is hopeful.
So the next time this crazy world tempts you toward manic motion or a pitiful pit or a dastardly distraction, whether shopping, TV, or the bottle, remember whose you are, what you have, and the truth you are an OVERCOMER.
With Hope!
any thoughts on waiting for the Lord; what do you do while you wait for him to tell you it is ok to move on.
Hi Joni,
The scripture that comes to mind is “Be still and know that I am God.” (Ps. 46:10). While you wait — and waiting is tough! — trust God and seek him through prayer and Christian meditation. He has not forgotten you. You are blessed.

When my son died of cancer, my heart split into two pieces. Dark, sad, lonesome, hated life, could not read the Bible, don’t talk to me, don’t even look at me. I was a christian women, but why oh why did God not answer my prayers. At the time of Cameron’s death the doctor wanted to know what his wife, Susan, wanted to do with Cameron’s eyes; the only part of his body not full of cancer…the eyes were donated. Even in my mixed up brain I remembered God’s promise…”For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth, and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and MY EYES, MY VERY OWN EYES shall behold and not another, How my heart, now mended, years within me!” (Cameron shall see God with his very own eyes.)
I cannot imagine losing a child, young or old. May our great and compassionate God continue to bless you. You grieved deep. Your book “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart” is a testimony of your beautiful healing. God bless you..
God’s blessing to you for all you do to help women, including me, have more strength and courage for our journey. Glad this is the last football Sunday. Our Pastor and several men are coming to our home to cheer on their team, eat good food, including chocolate cake and coffee.
Thanks, Kc. Be sure to read my post on the Super Bowl and human trafficking. It published today. Have a great weekend.
