You are welcome, Susan.

The book commanded my attention because I, too, have been hurt by church leaders. I remember thinking, "I want an author's note!" Only when I was most of the way through the book did I learn you used a made-up name for the pastor. For this I felt relieved. (I even googled the name early. No match. Again, relieved.) Why cause more pain? I thought. In a strange turn, I desired his protection too.

My favorite parts: the friends you made in China. Real, precious, strong.

I tasted China. Thank you.

Blessings, Lucy
