the big question
Do you want to be well? If you’re tired of feeling angry or depressed, confused or frustrated, afraid or ashamed, if you’ve tried everything and still hurt, there’s a better way, God’s way. God worked a miracle in my life and He can heal you too.
the better way
Call it soul care, pastoral care, biblical counseling, even intensive discipleship. This better way leads to genuine change in the inner person for her good and for God’s glory.
Please note: I am not a professional state-licensed counselor, which is a medical profession. Biblical counseling is a religious function. I do not make medical diagnoses or prescribe medication. However, I support the use of medication prescribed by a physician. If you are currently taking prescription medication, consult your physician concerning your medication.

what qualifies me to counsel?
Good question. I’m a Christian woman called by God to reach out to hurting women, especially women who attend church yet feel like an outsider, and to ministry leaders, who often struggle with isolation too.
- Like you I’ve experienced pain. In Christ I’ve found healing. My healing was not complete in a day. I immersed myself in the Bible, praise music, and prayer. I face struggles but now I have peace in my circumstances.
- I’m a graduate of the Pastoral Care to Women program at Western Seminary, Portland, Oregon. My mentor was Bev Hislop, author of Shepherding Women in Pain: Real Women, Real Issues, and What You Need to Know to Truly Help and Shepherding a Woman’s Heart: A New Model for Effective Ministry to Women.
- A life-long learner, I’m pursuing certification from the Association of Biblical Counselors, a leader in biblical counseling.
Through my previous and current churches, and through Skype, I’ve effectively counseled hundreds of women in one-on-one and group settings.
what you can expect in counseling
1. You can expect that everything will be held in strict confidence except when there is a biblical requirement to involve others (for example, you are a danger to yourself or others).
2. You can expect to be treated with respect.
3. You can expect that you’ll be encouraged to think and act in ways that please God.
what’s expected of you
1. Honesty.
2. The completion of weekly homework assignments that promote change that lasts.
3. Patience. You did not form bad patterns of thinking and of behavior overnight. It will take a few weeks for you to experience a heart change that leads to God-honoring choices.
You also are expected to consult your prescribing physician BEFORE you make any changes to your medication. Lucy Ann Moll is not a medical doctor. She makes no medical diagnoses. She provides pastoral care and biblical counseling based on the Bible.
recommendations
“When I started seeing Lucy four counseling, I was desperate. I wasn’t sure what was going on with me, but I knew I needed help. I am so glad I made the call to Lucy. I never felt judged by her for the things I spoke about. Instead of religious platitudes, Lucy really LISTENED to me and prayed for me. Each and every time, she gently pointed me to the Shepherd. I am so very grateful for Lucy Ann Moll and biblical counseling.” ~Lynn
“Many things hit me at once. I felt like I was drowning. Lucy helped me to manage some very heavy challenges so I could one again live in joy in spite of things that were out of my control.” ~Angela
“I had always managed to get through the tough issues in my life, but this time I was really floundering. After being estranged from an abusive mother for many years, I was caught off guard that her death would cause me such mixed emotions. Lucy didn’t try to minimize my deepest fears of abandonment and rejection. Rather, she kept gently reminding me in counseling how much the Lord cares about me — and the little girl in me that felt unlovable. Since our session, I understand myself better and know that I don’t have to figure out the tough stuff all by myself. God iswith me. Thank you, Lucy! ~JoAnne
“Lucy helped me gain a confidence in God and in myself as his child that I didn’t have before I began biblical counseling. She also helped me begin to forgive those who had hurt me in my past, and there were many.” ~Katie
“When I contacted Lucy I was trying to deal with depression and anxiety. Using the Bible she was able to guide me into recognizing my worth to God. Thanks to her I am better able to cope by turning to God when I feel overwhelmed by life.” ~Tricia
“I’ve known Lucy and her family for more than 10 years. She has a quiet spirit, a deep compassion, a solid knowledge of the Bible, and a mature relationship with the Lord. With few counselors like Lucy in our community, we’re blessed to have her as a resource for pastors and for hurting women. She values the sanctity of marriage and counsels a man only with his wife present. I highly recommend Lucy.” ~Stephen R. Persson, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, Sycamore, IL
“Lucy has a real heart for women who are hurting emotionally and spiritually. She recognizes through her own struggles that only Jesus Christ, not psychology and other world-based systems, can bring healing, peace, and joy to women desperately looking for answers. Lucy’s training and her proper understanding of God’s Word has equipped her to bring hope and comfort to the women she counsels.” ~Stephen J. Moll, Pastor, Grace Life Church, Sycamore, IL (and Lucy’s husband)
