A Saint? Me? Really?

A Saint? Me? Really?

God wants you to know your identity in Christ as a saint. Consider these 5 truths about YOU. All because of Jesus.

Life is hard. God is good.

As life’s sharp edges hurt, be assured: If you’ve accepted Jesus as your Savior, he is with you, and he wants you to know your amazing identity in him.

1. You are a saint now. (The biblical meaning of saint is a forgiven believer.)

2. You are holy now. (This doesn’t mean you’re perfect but as a saint you have the perfection of Christ.)

3. You are the Father’s daughter now. Chosen, blameless, redeemed and forgiven.

4. You have every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms now. You cannot get more blessing. You do not need more blessing. Why? You already possess every spiritual blessing. Every is. . .well, every.  You don’t have to get your act together before God will bless you. He has blessed you. Present tense. You don’t have to check off every item on your spiritual to-do list.

5. You possess eternal life now. Sealed by the Holy Spirit, you cannot lose your salvation because God doesn’t un-guarantee what he has sealed.

What does this all mean? As you accept the truth of your amazing identity in Christ, you can rest. You’ll find these “now” promises in Ephesians 1:3-14.

If you’d like to talk more about it, feel free to contact me. God loves you lavishly.

Question: Which identity truth do you like most?

Thanks for reminding me that I have every spiritual blessing right now. Sometimes I am always wanting, wanting, wanting–and forget what I already have!

My pleasure, Sharla. We have everything we need in Christ. It’s amazing. Merry Christmas, Lucy
